SUMMARY:Great-Pioneer online course on “Radiation protection in nuclear environment"
DESCRIPTION:Teaching of the GRE@T-PIONEeR courses are fully online or hybrid (i.e.\, combination of online and in-person). Specialised facilities allow for both online and physical interactions\, such as the hybrid Active Learning Classrooms at Chalmers University of Technology\, Gothenburg\, Sweden and at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics\, Budapest\, Hungary. \nFor online learning\, a Learning Management System (LMS) is used by the teachers for course delivery and management\, providing 24/7 access to all teaching resources. \nOnline self-paced learning phase taking place between October 30th\, 2026\, and November 27th\, 2026. Synchronous activities offered between November 30th\, 2026\, and December 4th\, 2026 (those activities can be attended online or onsite at Budapest University of Technology and Economics\, Budapest\, Hungary). \nThrough this course\, you will learn: \n\nThe principles of health physics and radiation protection regulation.\nThe instrumentation for radiation protection in nuclear installations.\nThe shielding calculation methods (both deterministic and probabilistic methods)\, neutron and gamma transport\, and deep penetration problems.\n\nScroll down to discover examples of course videos and leaflets! \nRegistrations close on September 21st\, 2026 (end of day\, Stockholm time).
