SUMMARY:EUTEMPE Course Module 12: Occupational dosimetry in diagnostic and interventional radiology
DESCRIPTION:Can you plot the radiation field in a cath lab situation? Do you know how to assess the dose to the eye lens? Can you explain personnel dosimetry to a nurse? Do you know which dosemeter to choose in which clinical setting? \nThese questions\, and many more\, will be answered in the EUTEMPE-RX module MPE12. \nIn clinical workplaces\, personnel dosimetry legally needs to be applied to a target group that more often than not has little comprehension for its necessity or its correct application and works under conditions that significantly differ from lab conditions. Personnel dosimetry in clinical settings therefore offers three challenges: the dosimetry\, the personnel and the clinical setting. There are various approaches to deal with all of them and in the EUTEMPE-RX module MPE12 course you will get to know them. Say hello to your target group. Get a first-hand impression and insights into real-life clinical exposure situations and their specific challenges.
