NCS Report 31 Guidelines for Radiation Protection and Dosimetry of the Eye Lens
In July 2016, the NCS (Nederlandse Commissie voor Stralingsdosimetrie) installed a subcommittee to setup Guidelines for Radiation Protection and Dosimetry of the Eye Lens, in part in the light of the stricter regulations regarding exposure of the eye lens. The report supports radiation protection experts in interpretation of the legal requirements with respect to the eye lens and describes the exposure conditions for the most relevant worker groups. The recommendations provided in this report concern an interpretation of the adequate dosimetry, suggested protection measures for the different worker groups and guidelines for implementation of the medical surveillance.
